I feel like I have been neglecting the blog as of late and I am sure you are tired of me saying that I am neglecting the blog. :)
But I have been playing as much as ever. I had this grand scheme of making narrated videos for all of Trial of the Crusader but as luck would have it, while the PUG my Death Knight ran went great, last night when I was hoping to record the run my Hunter was in I was plagued my last nights login problems with Battle.net accounts.
So unless I find a group Monday night the whole video plan will have to wait till next week with the addition of Anub’arak, which isn’t a bad thing.
So while I have been slacking on the daily heroic on Drotara, since I did get a Trophy last week and I am holding out for 75 Triumph badges for the chestpiece, my alts are rocking the house. My Shaman hit 60 (he is actually hovering over Zeth’gor at the moment) and I have a Paladin and Rogue who are ripping up the 20-29 WSG bracket with their BoA goodness. My Death Knight was able to buy his regular Tier 9 shoulder and got a pair of iLevel 245 tank boots from 25 man this week, so he gained like 1000 HP.
Blizzcon has come and gone and unfortunately I missed it in-person, I caught some of the streams and the Arena matches. I don’t think I can provide any insight that hasn’t been reiterated a bajillion times on other sites. At the initial information I am excited on a nostalgic level. I have found memories of vanilla and whenever I joked about heroic lowbie dungeons it was always Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep. I look forward to Mr. Smite yelling “You landlubbers are tougher than I thought! I’ll have to improvise!” and then smack our tank around.
I am still exploring some options to help this site pay for itself. With the economy the way it is I’ve been required to do a lot more freelance work than usual which is one of the reasons posting has been so scarce lately. My free time has been used to actually play WoW. :)
Well that’s it for now. Expect videos soon. I am going to make them! All of 25 man Trial of the Crusader.

Aratar! Glad to see your still doing good. I am about to go back to school, so my wow time is low as well. I got some leads on jobs for 3d modeling around where I live, so I am pretty excited. I have yet to enter Trials since the patch and just really want to get gladiator with a serious team. What do you think of the race changes they are thinking of doing (paid race change/all races getting revised abilities). I think it will destroy some of the identity of the players, since now everyone can have those OP racial abilities.
Hey hey Drathas! The race/class combination’s are an interesting beast. On the one hand, I like the idea of being able to be a Paladin that’s not a Blood Elf. But as you said, at the same time you will definitely see some people gravitating towards the best racial for whatever it is you do. But since Blizzard said the racials were all getting reworked we’ll have to see what changes they have in store for them.
I was wondering how did you decide the chest piece was the best one to get? I just got a trophy too and I am sitting at 88 badges and was debating which piece to get. I had heard the new voa boss would drop legs, bp and gloves, so I was thinking helm and shoulders were your best options (obviously very dependent on what hard mode gear you had obtained already). For me legs would be the biggest upgrade, but after crunching a lot of numbers, I think it be better for me to get new shoulders (the one slot I have the 10 man version in) and get the new badge ring (we are SOOO unlucky having agility rings drop). Then next set of badges grab a 232 pair of gloves for the 2 piece bonus. The 75 badges for the bp doesn’t seem at least for my gear worth spending the 75 badges on yet, before picking up all the 232 stuff. I’m hoping to pick up my legs/bp in voa or get the herioc version. I guess it depends a lot on how hard the hero version (and guild capability) is and your current gear level.
Honestly, before getting any of it, I’d heavily recommend getting Dexterous Brightstone Ring and Epaulets of the Devourer (or whatever the Horde versions are). The upgrade that DBR brings over any non-Algalon ring and the upgrade the EotD bring over any shoulders minus Leviathan+4 10 shoulders is bigger than any piece of T9L2 can bring over T8.5.
The reason I chose the BP was for a couple reasons, and one of them happens to be vanity. :)
There are still few people running around that happen to have their Tier 8.5 shoulders. :) I have the Gloves of the Steady Hand which are still beastly.
Some guildies are bolting for their 2 piece T9 by getting gloves and shoulders first. I have no qualms about my ability to get badges so I decided to get the expensive items first.
