I finally got around to finishing the Thorim video from 25-man Ulduar. Originally I was hoping that someone in the hallway group could record video as well, but alas they could not. So my grand scheme of showing both parts of the fight had to be adjusted a bit.
The small Picture-in-Picture you will see is footage of us clearing the hallway in the 10-man group while the main video is the Arena group. Enjoy!

really would like if blizzard would make that aoe lightning kill people instantly so u cant heal throu it, might make that fight a bit better

Awesome choice of music as usual. :) While our first kill seemed to go pretty smoothly and I do agree that the original version of the fight was pretty cheap, the buffed version of Thorim managed to wipe my raid for over an hour this week. -.-
I’ve been watching all your Ulduar vids but for some reason never got around to commenting on any of them. Keep up the great work, Drotara.
Our 10-man group one-shotted Thorim, and probably could’ve done the hard mode O_o. Nobody knew how to start the thing, so we went about 2 minutes before anybody went into the gauntlet. I’m hoping it goes that smoothly on 25-man, but for some reason I doubt it.

Actually if you watch it directly on the YouTube site in HD it’s a bit easier to follow. You won’t be reading how hard he hits for (maybe a few of the crits), but you can still get a good gist of what’s going on.
I actually believe he’s in a SV spec during his picture-in-picture 10man run as well.
Yeah, I have stayed Survival pretty much exclusively now.
I tried MM on our 10man Mimiron attempts the other day. I figured the movement required during phase two would have hampered my DPS a little, and somewhat during phase 3 since I was requested to drop traps. I’m still seeing better numbers as SV though, excluding Razorscale. Readiness really helped on the ground phase.
MM in 10 man is ……………oh boy where is my mana?
MM on 25 is good and sometimes if sv screws up something it tops sv. MM is really easy to play and its my second specc, i really enjoy it but 10 man its a no go for me as the mana reg stuff u can get in 10 man doesnt cut it.
I would also be concerned with the mana-intensive Chimera Shot//MM spec on General Vezax where mana regen is all but halted.
Dro i also dont see any threat meter you just dont use one or am i missing it?
I use Blizzard’s threat meter. It’s never wrong and I get the exact percentage. :)

What was the class setup fo dps tanks and heals and also how many tanks required.
Mel, I believe he was running this:
3 Warrior
3 Rogue
1 DK
4 Druids
4 Shaman
3 Hunters
1+ Warlock
1+ Mage
2+ Priests
2 Paladin
24 out of the 25 right there. At least 1 rogue is combat. 1 druid is feral, 2 are resto and 1 is balance. 2 Shaman are resto, 1 elemental, 1 enhance. 1 Hunter is SV and one is MM. 2 Priests are Shadow.
I could be a little off. The Elemental Shaman might have been casting Chain Heals to help out on heavy AOE damage. I’m not to sure who was tanking besides the Feral Druid. I don’t think any Paladins were in range, but I would expect that there was a prot warrior or two in there, and a pally tank in the gauntlet.
