With the coming of 3.0.9 we had a slight un-nerfing of Beast Mastery. I know there are at least a few people out there happy to see BM brought back up a bit. I didn’t respec so I am curious if anyone has WWS data from a 25-man Naxx they wouldn’t mind sharing.
We ran 25-man Naxx last night that had mediocre results. We had a lot of new recruits, at least a few who had never done 25-man Naxx before so it took longer than some were used to.
You can view the WWS here. From a personal level, I felt my DPS was lower than it has been and there were a few fights where I know I did a poor job of watching Multi-Shot and Explosive Shot. There was a lot of hand-holding that needed to be done so I dealt with it. It was more than enough to pull my weight on most fights.
I would be lying if I said I didn’t pick up the last few pieces of gear on my list. A Strong-Handed Ring, T7.5 legs and helm, and a pair of Crippled Treads. I finally replaced that Mobius Band. :)
But unfortunately, as I write this, we have 10 minutes before we want to do raid invites and we only have 15 people online.
WoW Insider pointed over to the “Ninja” post to it should be interesting to see what kind of additional comments are added to the conversation. It’s posts like that where I wish Intense Debate was still working because threaded discussions would be so helpful.

I’m just curious. Do you feel your DPS was lower all around (and out of your control)? Or tunnel vision pulled you down a little bit during the run?
Aside from our BM hunter, who has been BM since day one and refuses to spec out of it, all our hunter’s DPS seemed lower last night. Yet with every analysis of recount and WWS, I didn’t notice anything obviously out of proportion. ES seemed to hit as hard, Steady Shot just as crappy. Almost like they stuck a stealth nerf into autoshot damage. Yet another stealth nerf.
I was thinking that it was due to the need for me to deal with some raid leading responsibilities at certain times during the raid which caused me to have to take my focus away from cooldown management. With Maexnna I got webbed at the start and was responsible for breaking people out of webs.
I didn’t notice much out of the ordinary either but as you said, it did seem a tad lower, which I am willing to chalk up to just bad rotation management on my part unless we find out otherwise. :)
We cleared the wings in Naxx-25 last night, and I think my dps as 1/19/51 was around the same as pre-patch aside from on Patchwerk. Could possibly just be chalked up to not having earth and moon/ebon plague/curse of elements (yes, we somehow put together a raid without one of those debuffs…fucking 5 rogues), and if I hadn’t finally replaced my Drake-Mounted Crossbow with an Arrowsong I’d probably be pretty chafed about it.
Hmm… Maybe I’m just being paranoid about more nerfs, and that night was mere coincidence. : /
Well, one of our furry warriors went arms for the night to see if it was worth it, so I had some extra damage on my steady/auto/aimed shots. Not sure what sorta effect that would have overall on my dps, but who knows.
I saw the same.
Couldn’t put my finger on it either but just couldn’t cap out the Mages and resulted in about .5% behind the top 2 which we almost identical.
I thought maybe they had geared a little but we were all in same as last week when i was resulting in about .5 above ‘em.

I maybe paranoid but my dmg seemed off last night it fluctuated a lot I was either on top/close or in the middle ground or in a few cases further down, where as last week I was topping it which was nice finally (I am close usually but not top) I like being in the top, I feel that I’m not doing my job if I don’t give out my best as any good dps should. I moved one point around on Monday night I realized *blush* that I had zip points in IAotH which was perfectly fine with me but I had a Glyph that was sheer dead weight I have Improved Aspect of the Hawk but no points in IAotH I hadn’t even thought of it *gah* what a moment of ummm wow… huntard move hotshot. So after much hashing it out with our newly appointed hunter CL (and much searching for a viable replacement for that glyph) I took one point from Expose Weakness (so 2/3 now) and put it into IAotH, *sigh* relief. Right or was it :s
I love my Hunter I like to do research and such to figure out what I can do to improve myself and eek out as much dps as possible. I use RAWR all the time I have set it up so that I can Optimize the best gear choices one for bosses and one for trash, I am pretty much a card carrying member of Hunters Union one of the best sites out there for guides/addon info/the science behind things and general amazingness that has me laughing so hard (I Dear Frost am one of those flower gathering NE you hate so much). I am constantly comparing notes with my Hunters in Guild and have helped out my fair share of them and they me… Heck I was a Surv hunter before it was cool to be one (BC days), and I loved it, I respect for about a month or so and almost cried when doing it but when WotLK first came out Surv was left in the dust with me QQing and making mud, I went MM for a month, I did enjoy it to a point but when I came back to Surv it was coming home. I am scared that Blizz is carrying a nerf bat and is ready to swing (more so then the ninja ES decrease).
I got Nerubian Conquerer on Monday night (before the respec) instead of my accursed bow, I am capped on my Gun skill lvl, so really what gives this was a very very nice improvement so shouldn’t my dps improve?
I felt like my LnL wasn’t procing as much as it normally does either, it was frustrating and I who normally prefers sniper mode was laying traps when I could so I could get the proc off… is anyone else noticing something different??
kinda thought about hidden nerf too but i am prolly just paranoid after all they did to me in that little dark room :)
some of your playmates do really low dmg thou and wtf happend to fan of knifes, the rogue in my raid aoed nearly as good as our shadowpriest
FoK is fokked up. It’s what Volley was, and deserving of a damage nerf.
I didn’t notice a dip in DPS, but I’ve been upgrading gear so much recently that I don’ thave solid consistent numbers. It felt that the 2 hunters dps was on par with what we normally do, but our Rogue and Fury Wariors both seemed to think their DPS was higher than usual. (Yay for being in the leet dps group for party chat! And for being consistently #3 or 4 dps!)
Of course, we aren’t really sure if it was a buff/debuff issue with different things than usual (no enh shammy so the 3rd hunter respecced MM, sucker). I also kinda want to play around with BM, but can’t really justify it for OS+drakes and Maly, which is all we have left this week.

Okay ya after re-reading my post I sound ultra paranoid, I figure it could be many things, I was feeling a little off last night in general so I could see how that could possibly throw my game off, we have had the loot gods smile on us on our Monday raid finishing off 25man naxx and there were some nice drops all around from last nights raid. So ya sorry too much QQ and I will pew pew my brains out tonight and see what the results are.

Drot, the fight durations are a bit long also, considering the numbers you’re comparing yourself to are of hunters killing patch nearly a minute faster you’re doing quite well. Lead your guild, keep doing what you’re doing and the numbers will come later =D.
