This is the kind of stuff Blizzard sits around and discusses? They had no larger pressing issues they could have talked about other than “Does the Spirit Wolf fit in with our vision of the Hunter class?”
Ignoring the fact that a Blue poster had already confirmed that they would leave in the ability to tame the wolves. They couldn’t address AV queues, the tank shortage and the desire to reduce/remove respec costs in order to alleviate that burden, fixing Vanish, or *gasp* finishing developing Hunter pets?

*EDIT* Now Blizzard went and deleted the post that had Blue stating they would leave the ability to tame the pet in the game. /tinfoilhat

I cannot really fathom why they would take the time to do this. And since Blizzard won’t come out and give any a real reason as to why, I can only agree with the posters on the forums.
